I%26#039;d like to open a simple online store so that I can sell my items which I%26#039;m currently selling on ebay there instead. The ebay fees are cutting into my profits too much so I%26#039;m looking for a webhost that charges less than 鎷? ($10) a month. It must have a shopping cart, payment options and a sitebuilder so I don%26#039;t have to use html. Also I don%26#039;t want to sign up for a year so the 鎷? would have to be for one month on a 1 or 3 month contract. Ideally, I%26#039;d also like a free domain name and a 30 day money back guarantee.
It would be great if someone could let me know if there%26#039;s a site out there for me. Thanks
Looking for a cheap webhost?
Bravenet.com are good.
you can have a free site and put google checkout or PayPal on it.
I%26#039;m not sure what kind of money back guarantee you would like...especially if the site is free...If you are taking payments, I would think security is worth the small fee that google or paypal charge.
I had one on my site, and yes, Ebay is no longer a reasonable option for small sellers. I think their fees are way to high now. Add to that they own paypal, and they get you twice.

Other Replys:i was thinking about doing an online shop and it cuts into my life, i think it is a waste of time and useless for a %26quot;job%26quot;. in the real world www.cheapass.com is a great web site for you. :)
Other Replys:Check out www.freewebs.com.
I%26#039;ve used it on various occassions. You can upgrade for special feature (which I%26#039;ve done), but the barebones model is free.
Other Replys:For the shopping cart, fill in a few blanks, click a button and it is installed. Log into your Admin panel and customize online without HTML.
The domain name is not free but you can get those cheap, ranging from $4.95 to $15 per year. Just be careful who you register with. The cheaper ones tend to disappear.
Hosting: $7 per month or $77 per year, no contracts, plus have up to 7 domains on your account at no additional charge (except domain name registration).
Other Replys:Hi Jenny,
You%26#039;re asking for alot certainly. I too have shifted my sales to ebay and am experiencing the same profit loss as you.
Before going to ebay, I hosted my own website on my own computer. Nothing%26#039;s less expensive than that for sure.
If you%26#039;d like to do the same, here%26#039;s how...
You need webserver software. The most widely used webserver software is apache and it%26#039;s free.
http://httpd.apache.org
If you%26#039;re pc is a windows system, then rather than the above, download:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/phptriad...
It includes apache, php, and mysql.
Domain names are not free, but not expensive either. I%26#039;ve used:
http://www.dyndns.com
for years and am quite happy. You%26#039;ll need the domain name and DNS services that will probably run around $30USD for a year. They also provide email services for a fee.
Now, for the storefront. osCommerce is widely used and is what I used.
http://www.oscommerce.com
Once downloaded and configured, you have a functional storefront that you can alter to your liking. If you want prettier screen and so forth, those services are available from:
http://www.algozone.com
for a fee.
You can continue to use paypal. If you choose not to, then you%26#039;ll need a merchant account. I suggest paypal. Their fees are far less than the upfront fee of a merchant account.
I%26#039;ll probably go back to my own webstore after the holidays. The only reason I went to ebay was to try to capture that audience. My ebay store is:
http://www.romans10-9.org
Good luck and happy selling!
