How do I make a standalone blog?

I have been trying to create a good standalone blog with its own domain for cheap. I JUST DONT GET IT. I barely have any experience with making websites/blogs or using html or anything. I don%26#039;t want to use blogger because I want to have my own blog. And I want to have my own domain. However I would like a WYSIWYG program because I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA how to use/edit html. I%26#039;m willing to pay about $10 a year for the domain and I would like everything else to be free or very cheap if possible. I just want one blog, one simple, non-fancy blog that looks good. I have tried using wordpress and I don%26#039;t understand the installation process at all. I know that I need a host and a domain and a database but I just don%26#039;t understand any of this. Too bad I didn%26#039;t get a chance to respond to this one before it wet to a vote. You could have your own full-blown WordPress blog for free, and yeah, the domain would cost you just under $11 a year.

Other Replys:you could go to a hosting site..such as AN hosting. get a hosting package, and they will allow u to have a free installation of wordpress.
